Hi! I’m Sydney, and I’m so glad you’re here! A little about me! I’m a mom of two little girls who always keep me on my toes. I’m an amateur Biblical language nerd and could spend hours on end poring over the Scripture and following threads all through the Bible. I love to run, hike or do anything that allows me to be outside and moving!

I hope this website is a blessing to you in some way. Soft Heart, Curious Mind began as a simple prayer of mine that I would whisper each morning before I approached the Word of God. But it soon became more of a lifestyle to me, one that I wanted to share with anyone interested.

I found myself reading the Bible differently, open to whatever the Lord wanted to teach me that day. Truly letting the Holy Spirit be my Teacher. This led me to a lot of different thoughts about Scriture and some views and ideas I had never considered before, but suddenly made a lot of sense to me.

Out of that experience, I eventually created the prayer and Scripture notebooks that are linked here and on the ‘shop’ page. I wanted to find a way to encourage kids of every age as well as adults, to spend more time in prayer and get into the habit of opening their Bibles daily. My intention with these journals is not to tell you WHAT to think, but to urge you to simply spend more time with the Lord, and to think for yourself, even more so, to ask the Lord what HE thinks.
